Question for Peter or other post op people
I don't know enough about it to be able to tell you. You would have to know if it would upset the pouch, if it needs to be completely dissolved before leaving the stomach, where it is absorbed in the intertinal tract. You are 4+ weeks out, so it should not pose a problem to take it. Talk to your pharmacist to see what they have to say, or see if you can find a link online as to how it works.

From what I read, it is actually the prefered method of delivery. I have seen where it can cause nausea, and when we deal with what a pouch can hold that is not encouraging.
The "pill" should be taken with a full cup (8 oz) of water. That leaves Kathy out for now.
I can find nothing about where it is absorbed in a body. That I did find was that is not not necessarily effective to prevent a cold or flu, but then taken it at the onset, it can/will shorten the length of illness.
Just the normal FYI.
PS. Do you wonder how they test if it prevents an illness????
pps. One article indicated that it would be better to wash your hands ona regular basis than that this. No comment.
