Calling All Lurkers!!! Come Out!!! Come Out!! Wherever you are!!!!

I KNOW you are out there!!! I can tell by the numbers!!! Get in here and SAY something!!! Liven things up!! PLEASE...I BEG of you!!! This board needs new blood!!! New opinions!!! New Experiences!!!! I've only been here a couple of months myself and I am YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWNIINNGG already! (Can you tell I am not a New Englander by birth?) ...I'm not staid and BORING enough!!!

Sher, I guess I have to come out and admit it "I"M A LURKER." Most of the time I lurk 'cause I don't know the answer to some things. but always enjoy what other people are talking about. I do spend more of my time on the main boards though and peak into the Connecticut board (mostly cause it seems like everyone already knows each other) and I've never been to good at jumping into things. Oh well, I have taken the veil off.. .here I am. .. still awaiting surgery from Dr. Barba. Praying to go I can lose enough weight to get my nutritionist to write her letter of approval for the surgery and thoroughly more frustated and impatient everyday Okay enough complaining, Delicia

Hi Delicia! I spend a lot more time on the main board too...but I am GLAD you posted and yes..there are a lot of people who "already know each other" but I am hoping to see a bunch more people who can GET to know each other..then we can have MORE bunches of people who know each other and broaden the insights and horizons a bit...that's my take on it. I have a few more things to do before things go to the Insurance...and I can't wait to get it all over with...the waiting is the hardest part! I have heard that Dr. Barber's weight now is like 3 months for someone just starting out! I have not been hit with any "lose weight" mandates...and I am glad for that...I have been hit with the "quit smoking" mandate, and my Docs post op diet guidelines are strict...I guess we all have something! Hi lurkers We do seem to know each other very well, don't we . . . but, ONLY because we support each other on this CT board. I never knew one person before joining on . . the CT board is THE BEST, with THE BEST people. Since we are so wonderful, we've decided on several occassions to get together - and now we all know each other very well. well, I hope that I am not too much out of line but I really don't think I am probably the only person offended by this post??? Sorry that the "old blood" around here is boring to you. I am not boring nor do I consider any of my wonderful friends on here boring. I have found this the best place for support. Very caring community. I know you have your smileys in the post and meant this in a light hearted manner but I still find it offensive. I am not trying to start a war nor am I flaming you. I just think this could have been stated in a much nicer way. Eileen (who is extemely proud of being a new englander )

Oh Well! I don't remember calling any names or pointing the finger at any individuals...so if anyone took it all personally..sorry about that! I am not in a people pleasing mood this week....maybe next week! My motive was just to see some more activity..that was it in a nutshell...and to get some different takes on things...and I stand by it. My sense of humor is my sense of humor...take it or leave it...no one forces anyone to read anyone's post...kind of like watching TV...everyone has a choice! If I don't like a program I am watching..I simply change the channel.
