but it's been a tuff ride for me. I can start by saying I had my first dumping experience in the hospital 3 days after the surgery. The day started out good I did my half hour walk around the nurse's station and went back in to my room. Then I received a called from the kitchen saying what flavor of shake I would like, since vanilla is my favorite flavor I asked for it. It's arrived and I started to zip it very slowly it was going down good and the flavor was real good. I thought to myself wow this shake it not bad at all I think am going to do just fine with the shake stage. Boy was I wrong about 10 to 15 min. later I started to feel weak and sweating cold I could not keep my head up and had very big stomach pain and lots of water in my mouth like it was about to come up but it didn't. My husband got scared and called the nurse because he said I was pale. The nurse came in the room and asks my husband a few questions. Took my vital signs and told my husband she would place a call to the doctor on duty. But about 20 to 30 minutes later I felt fine again and she arrived the checked my again asked me a couple of questions and that was it. Lunch time came and the brought me another vanilla shake so I started to zip on it again because the nurse said that I needed to drink two shakes before I can go home so I did. And again 15-20 minutes later same feelings again sweating cold, weakness, stomach pains, and this time with the run(sorry I know it sound gross) I could not even open my eyes I thought something real wrong with me and I was not going to make it. They called the nurse again but this time I had a fever and my oxygen was very low. They did some X-rays and took some blood echocardiogram too. Thanks to God everything came out fine. That was only the first few days. What a ride. I am having trouble getting all my protein in but I guess we all go thru that. Most of the time I aching my legs, arms and shoulders but I pray to God it gets better. I thought the surgery was going to be the tuff part but that was the easiest. The med got me thru that, it's the eating and drinking that I am having trouble with. I have been very panicky because I have all the aches and pains. I hope nothing is wrong with me. I went to my two week check up and the Dr. A said I doing fine I told him about my aches and he gave me a muscle relaxer. I explain to him about my leg pains and he said as long the pain was not in the back of my legs not to worry about, but I can't help it I still worry. I down to 227 from 241 the day of surgery but I don't see or feel it yet I guess I will in a few more weeks. I can't wait till this journey gets a little easier for me only if the aches and pain would go away at least I could stop worrying and panicking. Thank you all for your post and prayers. I really appreciated them you don't even know how much it meant to me. I so glad to have you all! I so glad to know that Toy and Tammy are doing so well. Chica Flores 264/241/227

Hey Chica! Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. If it helps, I've been having a wicked hard time getting in my protein too. The shakes were ok the first week or two, but now, honestly, I've been vomiting them up. I think they are so gross.....I'm trying to substitute with everything I can think of. It seems the more food I eat (the pureed in small portions of course) the better I feel. Good luck with your aches and pains. That can really wear on you. Keep us posted with how you are doing!!! Love, Tammy

What a rough ride is right. I'm so sorry that you dumped like that in the hospital. I can't imagine going through that three days post op. Did they ever figure out why you were dumping on the shake? Is it possible that they gave you the wrong ones? Anywhooo I'm glad you're doing better. I hope the aches go away for you soon. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. That's fantastic. Maggie
