Just need some encouragement

Well All today is my 24th birthday and none of my friends remembered but that is not why I need encouragement. I went to the mail today and received a letter from a local law school I applied to and it said they could not offer me a seat. Let me tell you I had to make myself not cry. I have been accepted into a school in Michigan but I wanted to stay local because of my family. I still have one more option in applying to UCONN law school but I do not want to get rejected again. I do not know if I just want to give up and go to Michigan which there is nothing wrong there but it is too far away for me at this time. Please jusy pray for me. Toya

Toya, First of all a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you. That really stinks when your friends don't remember, I am sorry about that. Don't get discouraged about Law School. I believe everything happens for a reason and the UCONN law school is a great school. I think you should go for it and apply...you have nothing to loose. I will be praying for you... HUGS, Nancy K

Nancy, You are right. I would prefer to go to Uconn since it has a family law program set up and it is right in hartford. I am going to keep praying and let God decide what is best and thanks for the encouragement.

First of all, happy birthday Don't settle for Michigan if you want to stay locally. The right opportunity will present itself. Keep on trying. If someone rejects you, don't waste time and emotion on them, just find one who will take you. Anyone would be lucky to have you. Maggie

Thanks Maggie, That was so nice of you to say. If I have to maybe I will just go to Michigan one year and then transfer or who knows I might just like Michigan. I am going to try Uconn and if they say no I at least no I tried.

Hey Toya, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! I don't blame you to not go to Michigan and want to stay home near family than going there alone in Michigan. Is there law school in New Haven ? Maybe I am wrong.... Don t give up and keep apply Uconn or other college in CT. Go shopping to buy you one new outfit for your birthday instead having a birthday cake! Hugs Kathy k

I wanted to be close to my niece who is only 2 and who I love more than anything else in the world to stay here but I will just keep looking to God for the path that I am supposed to go down.
