Does anyone watch I lost it on the discovery health channel. It is about people who lost a great amount of weight. Most of it is in reagrds to Gastric bypass but they have a few other cases. It is so inspirational. Toya

I watched one last night. It was AWESOME. It showed the surgery in a positive but realistic way. I watched the one of the woman who had it, she had 5 kids, and was really scared. She did terrific!

Toy, How are you doing? We had surgery on the same day. Just wondering how your feeling, how much have you lost, are you OK, etc. Hope all is well.

Hey Paula, I am good had my almost 2 week follow up with the doctor and I am now on the puree stage. I am fine and some days it seems as if I never had surgery except for the constant stomach rumbling(gas) and the soreness from the incision. I have been going to the gym since Saturday and stay on the treadmill for 35 minutes doing the weight loss program. I have lost 29 pounds since the surgery so my grand total is 49 since I started this journey. Dr. Aranow says I can go back to the work and he told me if I wanted to I could go today if I wanted to but I opted to wait until Monday. Do not know how I will feel when I go to work but overall I feel pretty good. I still have some moments when I regret my decision but overall I am quite happy. How are you? Toya

I'm good. It's amazing how different doctors are. I can't start the treadmill until my next office visit, when I'll be about 4 weeks post op. He will not let me back to wor****il after the New Year, and I have an office sit at the desk job. Feeling well, still sore and experiencing new jabs of pain now and then. I'm doing the puree thing too, and discovered that puree meat, chicken, fish etc. is gross. I'm sticking with yogurt, my favorite - ricotta cheese with a touch of splenda and cinnamon, cottage cheese, applesauce, protein shakes, etc. Stay in touch, good luck on your journey. It sounds like your doing fabulous. You must be thrilled!
