13 days post op

Greetings, I went to the doctor yesterday. I'm down 19.1 lbs. in 13 days. It seems so surreal, my jeans still do not fit from the swelling and bloating. I still have one incision that is leaking, but I keep dressing it and he says it's nothing to be concerned with. I feel great and know I'm healing on the inside. It's amazing how fragile we all are and how it takes time to heal. I'm on puree for the next two weeks. I've never been so excited to see cottage cheese before!

Hi Paula, Congratulations on the 19 pounds, that's great! I too had an incision that was leaking, it leaked for about 3 weeks. It was annoying, but yes, nothing to worry about. Keep up the good work. Anne

Sounds like you are doing great. Congratulations on the 19.1 pounds, that is terrific. I had one incision that kept oozing as well. Drove me insane. It finally stopped after about five weeks. Enjoy that puree. Get creative, it will make it a lot more bareable. Maggie
