Just wondering how your first day back at work is going. I have been thinking about you and how tired you must be. How is everything going post op for you? Hugs, Maggie

Hi Maggie. I went in this morning and about 1 hour into my work I got called into the conference room. Yep, I got the big ole' pink slip. Didn't see it coming at all. I just had a review before I went out and it went terrific. So, I'm job hunting. It was weird not being able to stop at McDonald's and drown my sorry in a double cheeseburger. But all in all, I'm handiling it well. Post op I'm doing ok. Naseaous, but ok. I have my follow up appt. with Dr. A. at 3:30 today, then tomorrow is a day full with interviews already. By the way, I still owe you for Mary Kay. I'm gonna email you my info - I'm so sorry I forgot. How are you doing?? Tammy

I'm so sorry to hear about your job Tammy. That was not nice of them to wait until you came back. Everything happens for a reason, and I'm sure there's a better job waiting out there for you. Good luck with your interviews, please keep us posted. The nauseau takes some time to go away. Your body has been through a lot. Can't wait to see how your visit goes with Dr. A. Let us know how that goes as well. I still can't believe that you are on the losers bench with us now. I'm doing much, much better. Just a bit sore from the surgery, but can tell that it is going to do the trick. I feel all my energy coming back. Maggie

You poor thing!! That's a lousy way to start your day if ever I heard one. You know, as they say, when a door closes, a window opens ... I'll be thinking of you. It's a good thing you have an appt. with your doctor today -- something to think about instead of eating. Hang in there. I dealt with the nauseousness for awhile -- now I wish I got it more often to remind me when I'm falling off the wagon! Take care, Kathy F.

Hi Tammy, I worked in Human Resources for many years - I'm curious about what your company did. Seems illegal to me. How many people work for the company? Were you eligible for FMLA? Was anyone else let go while you were out? Feel free to email me privately with the details, if you are so inclined. God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau

Hi Kathy - I was the only employee - no benefits, just worked hourly. I have an interview tomorrow already and hopefully more on the way (I had a few phone calls answering my emails with my resume). I actually feel relieved about it all. I hated that job, but stayed because it was so convenient. Thanks for your concern. Tammy

Tammy, Sorry to hear about your job - I am sure you will find something soon. But that's not the point - sounds like something shady is going on since you had a greqt review before you left. I would follow through with whomever it was on the boards that said they work in human resiurces. Hugs, Nancy K.

Hi, Tammy! I'm so sorry about your job, but it sounds like you'll find something else soon. How'd it go with Dr. A? Hugs, Debby
