Joanie's Food Log-Sunday
A new week...going back to a more structured menu today. Taking Lauryn to the Goodspeed Opera House to see a play at 2pm. Was planning are taking her out to eat--but I am eating out much too much these days--could be why the weight loss has slowed! I have two dinners planned with friends this week as well as two Christmas parties! Need to stay on track with "at home" eating when I can these days.
B- scrambled egg
S-protein drink
L-Perdue chicken w/salsa and lite sour cream
S-Glenys protein bar...out of momentum!
D-oops I am going out--shoot I forgot...after the wake for my BIL Dad we planned to go out to dinner!!

Ok, I'm really going to try to get back on track with eating normal foods again. Here's my plan for today:
B-Betty Crocker low carb muffin..(they're wonderful)
S-Carb Countdown Smoothie
L-Egg Beater Omelette with a half slice of low carb rosemary walnut bread from Panera toasted. (Panera's low carb breads have only 4-6 carbs per slice)
S-Detour Protein Bar
D-Not quite sure yet...
S-Kozy Shack SF pudding

Hey Joanie-
I start eating soft foods tomorrow after my doctor's appt. Anyone have any advice? I know that I can eat cottage cheese and eggs. Any other suggestions? I'm going to bring my protein drinks to work and just sip my day away. First day back at work - I'm a little nervous - hope I will last.
Been feeling really naseous these past few days. So, I'm back to my normal routine until I feel better.
B - Isopure blue raspberry drink (10 oz)
L - s/f hot chocolate with whey protein powder
D - Probably another protein drink.
S - s/f popscicle.
Hope you guys have a good Sunday. Joanie - I'm sorry to hear about your brother in law.

Looks like we all need to get back to work to get some structure to are food log! We were running so late--we never got time for lunch before the play. (Saw "Princesses" at the Norma Tiller Theater at Goodspeed--it was adorable..with Rex Smith...anyone as old as I am and remember him?)Anyway...my daughter was starving when we got out at 4:30pm and so was I! We stopped at a grocery store...and she got some snacks..and I got a tub of cottage cheese and bought some spoons so I could eat it in the car!
Later we met my husbands family for dinner...and I had shrimp..it was yummy..but enough eating OUT! I am sick of it! OK..off to bed for this busy girl...tomorrow I am off from my morning job for a funeral...and I head to Milford at noon..for my afternoon job.

What a lazy miserable day today! I managed to go through some stuff, but have not left the house....
B- None, didn't get out of bed until 10:00
L- Shared Dora Chicken Noodle Soup w/ my daughter
S- Small slice Pumpkin roll, small piece pumpkin cheesecake
S2- 1/2 c refried beans w/ lite sour cream
D- I have no idea.... Pork chops maybe...
I will be glad to go back to work tomorrow and try to get back on track!

You could start with GNC..and see what they have. There is a site called bariatriceating.com that you can order things from also. Most grocery stores even carry protein bars now. Just beware..tastes change after surgery...so there is no telling what you will like..so don't buy too much.
