Torrington Ct. or nearby support groups

Greetings, I am looking for a support group in the NWest corner,I live in Torrington Ct. and really need to find a group. I was banded in Norwalk ,by Dr. Timothy Ehrlich, who is wonderful!!!!But Norwalk is wayyyyy too far to go especially at night. I go for my fills during the day and it's ok,takes about 1 1/2 hrs.one way.. Too scary at night. So therefore I need to find a group closer. If anyone knows of one I would be most grateful. Thanks!!

Maureen, I live in Farmington, and attend the sessions at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. From Farmington, it is only 20 minutes or so to St. Francis. I'm guessing it will take you 20 minutes or so from Torrington to Farmington, but that's still less than Norwalk. There's a meeting this Tuesday, November 30 from 6-8 PM in the Gengras Auditorium at 1000 Asylum Ave, Hartford. There's a parking garage adjacent to the hospital where you can park safely. They skip December because of the holidays, and start again in January. --Steve

Hi Steve, Thanks so much for the info.......i just may attend the next meeting,i have an appt in norwalk for a fill,during the day,so i think a meeting at night would do me good. Is Gengras hall @ the hospital?Thanks

There's a large medical office building that's attached to the hospital via a covered hallway, and the auditorium is in that office building. If you get to St Francis, there are several information stations there, so just ask any one of them where the Gengras Auditorium is and they'll give you walking directions through the hallway. --Steve
