Something happened overnite

No, I didn't find the metal. But, I did get up this morning and find some ribs. I know they were not there last nite. And today none of my clothes fit. And I'm serious. This really did happen overnite. I made a pact with myself pre-op, that I wouldn't become a slave to the scale and I have not. I don't have one. I only get weighed at the docs. Does this really happen this quick? Or am I nuts? ...I'm not complaining mind you...Linnie

It sure does! Isn't it great???? I am sure that this is all real. Good girl for not being a slave to the scale! I have not stepped on the scale in two days and I am so proud of myself! I am on a plateau--this so sucks! Enough about me...Congratulations on finding ribs-enjoy! :halo" Joanie

Congrats on finding some ribs. Yes it does seem to happen overnight at times! I know I was loosing pounds, but clothes weren't getting too loose. All the sudden clothes got big! It was great! Carmen

Congratulations Linnie, I know the feeling! It is wonderful to have clothes get too big to wear! I myself, really love the scale and tend to get on it twice a week, sometimes more if I really feel as though my clothes feel much bigger. I used to be terrified of the scale but now I feel as though I have a new friend! Sandy

Linnie, Just wanted to add that, yes, shockingly, it does happen overnight! When I was this weight a long time ago.. before surgery.. I never had these bones.. that much I find amazing. I have these collarbones and when I look at them, I feel skinny! How crazy is that? I have hip bones, knees.. who'da thunk it.. and ribs. My shoulders have gotten so boney that it kinda hurts when people lean on them. Now mind you, I'm only 6 months out and 240 something (NOT being a slave to the evil scale)which is still big.. so you know this is a crazy thing happening right now. You're not nuts! Linnie -- It sure can happen overnight! It's a very weird feeling, to realize that there are BONES underneath the flesh. You'll continue to find more -- collarbone, bones in arms & legs. The one I have the hardest time with is my tailbone -- I'm very happy that I've got a smaller butt, but it HURTS when you sit for too long!! This is what the future has in store for you too!! Kathy F.
