Hi everybody, Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was. Today: B- 1/4 whole wheat english muffin, 1 egg L- leftover salad S- protein bar D- 2 ozs. leftover turkey, 2 tsp stuffing, 2 pearled onions (mmmm) 1 tsp. green beans. I have not been getting in my water either. I have had NO Water since Tuesday! Bad, I know....Wednesday and Thursday I was cooking all day, and today I just forgot...I do much better with the structured work week. Days off my schedule is so different. Hopefully I will get in some water tomorrow. I will be busy in NY, moving my grandfather's belongings from his apartment to my house for storage until my father can decide what to do with it all...But I will make an effort to drink water. See you, Anne

Carmen, just a reminder to you. When you have anything over 30 gams of protein in one service (meal), you still only count it as 30 grams. The body is incapable of absorbing that much protein within such a short amount of time. Peter

I am curious about the 30g rule. I have heard that you can't absorb more than that at a time, but not too sure what "at a time" is.... I have also asked a couple nurse's (who work w/ bypass patients) and they said that was not true.... I feel better having a little extra because I can't always finish my shake. Overall I try to get 70+ g w/ no more than one shake. This is all so confusing still so if you have any input I would appreciate it. You definetly know more about this than most too! Thanks, Carmen
