What is "normal" pain with this surgery. I am feeling discomfort and pain in my right side. It does not hurt but annoying almost like shooting when I sit up right or lean to right side. Should I be worried? Could it be gas?

If it is in the back - it is probably gas. I had terrible gas pains in my right shoulder blade for about a week. My husband would hit me on the back (kind of burping me) and later it would move. If its in the front, it might be gas - but it could be something else. If it gets worse, you should contact your doctor -- shooting pain does sound like gas, however. Keep track of it, just in case. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving. God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau

Thanks Kathy, It is right on the side. Not in the front or the back. I could not walk today due to being raining but I will be up first thing in the morning. Thanks for advice, if I still feel it will be calling Dr. Aranow. Toya

I don't think there is such thing as "normal pain" after this surgery. Everyone is different. Listen to your body and if it gets worse or doesn't get better call your Dr. Good luck, Carmen
