HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!
We had an early Thanksgiving this year, I usually cook for it anyway, it is one of my favorite holidays. Since I was going under the knife on the 18th, we had a nice dinner on the 14th. This year, one child is going to her boyfriends house, and my other daughter and my hubby are staying home with me (t.v. dinners for them, broth for me). We plan on going to the movies for some entertainment.
Enjoy your friends and family everyone!

A happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I'm very thankful for having found this board and all of you lovely people!
I'm doing Thanksgiving dinner at our house for the first time, and John's and my families are meeting for the first time. We'll have 8 all together. I'm a wreck. As we speak, my Mother is in my house cleaning the kitchen while I work & John goes to coach a football team. I just hope she doesn't rearrange anything. The last time she cleaned my kitchen, when I was out of commission after having surgery complications, I couldn't find things for months!! Please pray for me that everyone will get along ... we have a couple of loose cannons on hand -- my sister and John's father.
Enjoy & we'll all talk later!!
XOXOXO

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Hope everyone has a nice, relaxing weekend.
I have a lot to be thankful for this year. A lot of things may have not/or be going my way.. but I am thankful for the new possibilities that have come along.
I'm looking forward to being with my "adopted" family this turkey day.. more than I'm looking forward to food. My therapist asked me about how I feel with the idea of all that food.. I'm sure I'll take a bite of everything and be happy, but I'll remember it's the people around me, not the food that is making me happy.
Take care,
Michelle

Hi Kathy and all
Let me add my sentiments about how thankful I am to have had the oportunity to have this surgery and meet all of you. This year I am going to concentrate less on the food and more on my family. I proved today with the luncheon we had at work..that all I need is a taste to be satisfied... I am going to leave the kids to do the dishes..and take a walk with my brother after dinner. I feel better and healthier than I have in years. Life IS Good.
Hugs,
Joanie
Kathy, you are so sweet! I am thankful for you and all the other CT folks here. I feel very blessed to be a part of this friendly and caring family. I am also very thankful to have gone through this surgery and to be enjoying complication-free success. I just think about how nervous I was before my surgery and here I am 2 months after and enjoying my new life and shrinking body!
I enjoy playing with my kids more and I think they are enjoying having more of a lap to sit on and having a Mommy with a lot more energy.
This Thanksgiving is the 1st time I don't have to worry about over-eating --- it is just physically impossible!!
I love that. It takes all the pressure off so I can just enjoy the day without needed a wheelbarrel to cart me off to the couch after dinner.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.... I know Robin will
many blessings everyone!

Hi, all!
I'm going to my sister's tomorrow. Not a big crowd; just 8 of us, but that means that I'll have less competition for my niece's and nephew's attention. What I'm most thankful for this year is the caring and support that I get from my family and friends, especially all of you on the CT board!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am so very thankful that I am a part of such a wonderful group of supportive and caring people. I'm also thankful for the friendships that I've made over the past year.
Even though this started out as a rough year for me, I am still thankful that I had this surgery. I'm thankful for all I've accomplished this year and the ability to live life and realize how precious it is.
I hope that you all have a wonderful day and take the time to really appreciate those that love you and have supported you.
God Bless, Mary Lou
