Going to start some Thanksgiving preparations tonight. Hi Joanie and ALL! Sounds like you were busy this morning. I couldn't sleep myself - I was up at 5:00. Decided to take my shower and do a few things around the house. I even got my stockings on myself today for the first time! It was nice to bend over again! It wasn't easy, but I did it!
My hubby is going to go grocery shopping for us today, and I have to take my daughter to her therapist appt. later. I find as long as I do one or two things a day, I'm ok - but when I do more, I just get exhausted.
B - Isopore drink (10 oz.)
L - s/f hot chocolate with whey protein
S - s/f jello or s/f popsicle
D - I'm going to try some soup. I bought a bunch I haven't opened yet - and I've got my strainer ready to go!
Hope you guys have a good one!!!
Love,
Tammy

Hi everyone,
It must be in the water or something today. I got up full of energy. Got on the computer for a while, exercised, showered, straightened up, got the hubby and daughter up, made them breakfast, got her dressed and ready for school. I even prepared the meatloaf for dinner tonight! All before 7am!
Now I'm at work, where I am forced to sit still thinking about the million things I have to do for Thanksgiving... and the Christmas shopping I haven't started yet...
Here is the menu for today:
B- Carb Countdown yogurt
S- Protein shake
L- Turkey pastrami on a whole wheat wrap
D- meatloaf, green beans and 2 tbsp. mashed potatoes
Hope you all have a great day!!

Anne-
I hope you put that new picture up soon! You really looked stunning on Saturday! Don't stress over the holidays...they will come--you will be ready! Do you or anyone have a good tasting..sugar free/ff desserts (is there any such thing?)recipe you can recommend! Ya know..writing this...Linda's post is right..we talk too much about food!
Let me add..that I got in a mile walk yesterday before the meeting and plan on doing my 3 mile walk today...After talking to my boss..who is also my GYN doc...I have decided to check out different gyms and decide on one after the new yr...before jumping in head first. Unlike Dr. Aranow..she thinks that brisk walking will help me with my weight loss... She'd rather have me do something I enjoy..then try something I won't like and not follow through with.. I would love a 3 or 6 month membership somwhere and not have to sign a yr contract!
Enough rambling..
Joanie

Joanie:
I was just wondering if you have played around with some different choices. I notice that you are mainly consuming just protein at most of your meals. I make sure I have fruit, veggies and some starchy carbs as well. Now, I'm a bit different because my carb intake needs to be a bit higher to maintain my bloodsugars but not much higher.
Breakfast: scrambled egg beater with grated cheese and a tangarine
Lunch: turkey chili, 1/2 dozen tortilla chips, sliced pineapple
occasional snack: if I feel I can't make it till dinner (momentum bar) I tried these after hearing you talk about them so much. They are good.
Dinner: roasted chicken, maybe a 1/4 cup or less of bread stuffing with mushrooms, green salad with lite dressing
I always eat my protein first, then veggies and save the other starch for last if I'm still hungry.
I was at a plateau for quite awhile earlier on and my dietician told me to add more food. She gave me the above portion sizes and choices.
Good luck!
Carolyn
