Putting on weight
No, you are not doomed. A few questions.... are you following the pouch rules about not drinking with meals, eating protien first ect? If you are following them and not feeling full very long maybe you should check in with your doctor and talk with him about this, he might be able to check out your pouch to see if it is ok.

Being able to eat more doesn't mean that your pouch is stretched. My surgeon warned me that my appetite would come back but that it's a hormonal thing. The surgery itself is only a tool and requires that you make changes to your diet for life. Start writing down everything that you eat and go back to the basics of making sure your eat your protein first and don't drink with your meals. Also cut out any carbs and up the exersize.
I really have to watch what I eat now because I CAN eat alot if I allow myself to.
Diane,
Don't panic! I am 4 yrs. out and put on 20 lbs. and almost gave up. I buckled down, went back to basics and lost 6 lbs. I just had a TT and am back down to my original "low". So you can get it back off. You MUST exercise though. The "honeymoon" period is about 1.5 yrs and then the weightloss stops, if you don't diet and exercise. DON'T GIVE UP! GET BACK on track.
GOOD LUCK!
