Hi guys. I've had hiccups off and on the past couple of days. I can control them by taking a sip of water and laying on my side, but man, they aren't pretty! Anyone else have this problem? And how did you try and subside it? They seem to come on more when I'm drinking my protein drink, not normally just the water. It's not horrible, but a bit uncomfortable. Today it started while I was walking on the treadmill. Thanks for your advice! Tammy

Hi Tammy, When I was still in the hospital after having my daughter, she had hiccups. I thought she was having a heart attack - because her whole body shook. I asked a nurse and she said that hiccups are a normal part of digestion, and that babies get them alot because they are just beginning to use their digestive system. Guess that's why you are having them - you have a new digestive system too! I'd try to slow down even more when drinking your protein drink - I know you ARE drinking slowly -- but slow down more, this should help. God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau

I had them on and off the first 2-3 weeks after surgery. Mine HURT though (I guess because of the hernia repair). Just sip some water and take it easy. Sip you protein slowly and see if it helps. I wish there was a magic cure, but they just seem to come and go! Carmen
