Hello Everyone...I've Missed You!!!!
I just wanted to check in because I have been hiding out. I started my new job on the 8th and to be honest...I am exhausted. Not used to the first shift and commute yet BUT I love it. Counting the days till I get my first paycheck on the 30th.
I do have to take a poll to all the post ops. How do you measure your servings? By weight or measuring cup??? I know its a stupid one but I have been slacking on measuring and wasnt to make sure i am doing it correctly. I am never hungry so I make sure my 3 meals are mostly protein with maybe a couple slices of cucumber if it can be fit in.
I finally got my blood work results back from Lois and my iron was really low at 34. Its supposed to be between 40 and 160. So now I am taking iron supplements everyday to try and correct that issue. This explains why i am always tired and cold and just plain out of it. Any words of wisdom, advice will be welcomed with open arms, Miss all you guys.

Hi Julie-
I have to admit--I have a scale and do not always measure. I just eyeball it. Every once in a while I will check myself and weigh the portion I have chosen..and most of the time--I am under 3 oz ..so I figure I am fine.
Hope you feel less tired when your iron increases. Take care of yourself...eat lots of green vegies!
Hugs,
Joanie
Hi Julie,
I have not see you for a while since we met before you go to your surgery. Since I am back to work, I am not tired so far... I am glad you will get more iron to fix your tiredness. I am doing great since I had this surgery and will see Dr A. for 4 weeks followupdate check up tomorrow. I have no idea how much I lost because I do not have scale at home . It drove me crazy.
Take care,
Kathy K
Hi Julie,
I never measure anymore either. I eyeball it also. And at this point, I never eat anything over about a cup quantity. I generally eat 3 meals a day with a snack later in the evening. I was very careful about measuring for about the first 5 months, though.
Continued good luck on your journey!
Linda.
