Joanie's Food Log-Tuesday
HI gang- I know I am late with this...I knew there was something I forgot to do today! On to better eating days after my disaster last night. My scale was kind to me this morning...so I need to be extra good to earn the number I saw...so won't report it until I feel deserving!
I have a pot of beef stew in the crock pot at home..all that talk about stew last week had my mouth watering. Hope everyone is having a good day. I cannot wait to see you all on Saturday! Here is my meal plan for today!
B-cottage cheese half cup 6g
s=Protein drink 30g
L-perdue low fat chicken with salsa and 1tbsp lite sour cream...12 g
s-string cheese 6 g
D-beef stew with just vegies..2-3 oz 14 g
S-momentum bar 12 g
Water--64 oz throughout the day!
Walking three miles tonight!

I have been waiting all day for this to appear!
B- Morning Start breakfast bar, 1 hard boiled egg
S- Protein shake
L- Chicken breast w/melted cheese, 2 tbsp. linguine (mmmm)
My boss bought lunch again...
D- Manicotti finally...l haven't made it the last three nights I was going to cook it for one reason or other, but definitely will be eating it tonight. Just one though.

Atkins Morning Start bars...I have only tried two kinds, the apple cinnamon crisp, which is very good and crispy...and the creamy cinnamon bun flavor. But, I did just order a couple other kinds from Vitamin Shoppe, Strawberry and Blueberry. I'll let you know how they are. I don't eat them often, usually I have a yogurt, but on weekends and occasional weekdays when I don't want a yogurt, these are good.
The Cinnamon Bun flavor has 160 calories, 8 g fat, and 13 grams protein.
High cals and fat, which is why I don't eat them everyday. But, they are great for on the go...

You have so much ambition to be gotting out and walking even when it cools off! I am sure you deserve whatever number you saw on the scale!!!!
I'm still on liquids so here it goes.....
B- 1/2 low carb slimfast
L- 1 cup egg drop soup
s- s/f jello
D- 1/2 can pea soup w/ unjury
s- protein shake
Boy is it hard to get protein on liquids!!!

I am feeling all right, unfortunately the pain is still there. It is a little better and I am doing ok w/ just taking Tylenol. I go back Thursday afternoon, then I am going to stick around for the newly pre-op support group so I will let you know what they say when I get home from that.

I am so bummed that I can't post to the food log until late at night, but, I still really enjoy reading them and getting good ideas. I tried beef stew this past weekend and UGGGGHHHH!!! My pouch did not like it AT ALL. I used beef that was tough and it got all backed up. That was not a pleasant experience. After it cooked longer in the crock pot, I tried some the next day. It just sat there like a lead balloon. So no more of that for a while! lol.
Not that anyone will read this at 10:30pm, but here was my food day:
B - CarbWell cereal with 1/2 banana 11g protein
s - 1 1/2 scoops beneprotein w/16 oz coffee - 9g
L - 1 oz. Feta and 1.5 oz tuna with lettuce and red onion 14g
s - Glenny's slim carb bar- 12g
D - 1 oz shrimp, 1 oz steak, brocolli and a couple of bites of baked potato
s - sf popsicle
