Update

I called Dr Valin's office this morning since I had no directions to follow after leaving the ER. While I was at the hospital, they ruled out all the major things like leaks and obstructions, but have a couple ideas of possible causes, but nothing major. What a relief! I have an appointment w/ them on Thursday and need to stay on liquids until then. I thought I was done with that!!!!! Oh well. Back to the basics... I also called my OB/GYN to see if they thought my IUD might be a factor since there is also swelling in the pelvis. They said it is not likely, but if I have the hospital send the Cat Scan results, they could look at them to make sure. For now I wait, take my liquid tylenol and stick with a liquid diet in hope of some relief soon! Carmen

Hi Carmen, Glad to hear it's nothing major. Just a minor set back. Even though being on liquids sucks, look at it this way.. you might lose a little faster for the amount of time you're on them. What's better than losing weight? Just keep positive. Sometimes these weird things just take a while, but they work themselves out. Keep us updated. Michelle

Good point Michelle! Maybe I can loose a little extra and make up for that darn plateau! I want to be under 200 for Christmas and I am about 25 lbs away.... maybe this is my insurance, lol! These things are frustrating, but as long as it is not a major problem I will deal with it! Carmen

Thanks Tammy, The pain was not the worst I've felt, but I did not want to take ANY chances! The weight seems slow at times, but when I look at the total (51 lbs) it is AMAZING! Good luck today! Carmen

I will let you all know what they say Thursday. I love the IUD (Mirena) too. It is great and I have no other problems. The swelling is everywhere so I doubt that would be the cause! Carmen
