First appointment with surgeon tomorrow

im sorry to bother you guys but i have my one week appointment with Dr. barba tomorrow and i dont know what to expect. is he going to take my stitches out ? or its too early? does it hurt? do they numb the area first? im just concerned and usually what is a normal meal when you can eat the soft food? please help im here looking at info but all of them say diffrent things, any help would be very appreciated......... Victor, I have not had my surgery yet, but I have had other surgeries and can tell you that the removal of staples or stitches does not hurt. Pam

Hey Victor.. They may take them out, but I'm sure that depends on how well you've healed. Either way.. don't be nervous. It doesn't hurt at all. Sometimes you feel a tiny pinch, but that's the worst part of it. No numbing needed. When your Dr. gives you the OK to move on to the next phase in your diet.. double check the amount you should be eating with him. Good luck! Don't be nervous. Michelle

Hey Victor! Stitches don't hurt as others have said..other than maybe a pinch if it has gown over a bit.... I was just wondering, when you have time...how long did this entire process take you from go to whoa? Thanks, Sherrill the Impatient One
