OT**Can anyone give suggestions
Hi all..
As you read you will see I had my surgrey in VA and am currently in Texas. My Husband is with the US Army and our home state is CT. I grew up in beacon falls and my husband grew up in oxford. Anyways let me get to my point. Our oldest son went back to CT recentley and purchased a truck from a dealer who sold it to him as a private sale..Well not even 3 weeks later the transmission went. Now here I am far away from him trying to help him find another one. He put all his saved up money into that truck and is starting from scratch agian. He just started a job about 3 weeks ago making decent money but not luxury money. He is only 18 and will be starting his colleage courses in the fall.So my queastion is..anyone know where he can find a cheap but reliable car..or maybe someone here has one for sale?
Usually I have my husbands help when it comes to cars but duty called for him and he is heading overseas agian so to get his time right now it's hard with him leaving soon.
I thank anyone *****sponds in advance.
Naomi

Hey Naomi,
First, I wanted to thank you and your husband for your service. My DH is a retired Army Veteran. I am sorry that I have no advice for you on the car issue, but justed wanted to say hello, neighbor. I hope someone is able to help your son with his car.

Oh, Naomi....how awful that that dealer sold it to him as private..he probably knew it was going to blow...and to an innocent kid, yet..AWFUL...Can you call the BBB or the sate of CT to complain about the man? Or is the private sale final? Doesn't seem fair.
I don't have any help to give. Know nothing about cars except to put gas in them and fill the windshield washer fluid! I hope he emails to other poster to see if he can help him....
Tell your hubby thanks from Windsor, we appreciate his dedicated service and pray that this war is over soon, so he doesn't have to go back.
Take care, and don't' worry!

Oh, and BTW...did you have your surgery at VCU? I used to live in Richmond/Mechanicsville and knew a bunch of people in the late 90's early 00's who were having it done there.
They were one of the ones doing it well back then.

I tried to do a complaint but because of it being sold as a private seller there is no pertection.
I had my surgrey done at St Mary's in Richmond with the great Dr Hutcher.
I will pass the thanks along to my husband.I too hope they send our soldiers home soon.Last time he went we actually were in Ct and he was one of the ones aired on being injured..It sure is scarey.
