Hi, all! Some of us went to the last Hamden support group meeting on Nov. 8th and talked about going to the next one, so here's a reminder/invitation. The Hamden support group will be meeting on Monday night, Nov. 15th, from 6:30 till about 8 p.m. at the Senior Center (behind the Miller Library). Last time we went to dinner at TFI Friday's afterward and had a great time, so it would be nice to get a group together for dinner again next week. Joanie M. was thinking of coming and last night Deb M. told me that she'll probably come (now that she's working just a couple of towns north, in Wallingford). So that makes three of us, so far. If anyone is interested and wants directions, let me know. BTW, for any of you lap banders, there were a number of lap banders at the last meeting, unlike at the meeting in Middletown. Debby

Oops! So much for my proofreading skills. I meant "TGI Friday's". Which, along with Applebee's, Bennigan's and Chili's are all within 1 - 1.5 miles from the Senior Center. Debby

I'll be at Middlesewx next week, but back there to entertain everyone in December. Could even show up as a character if you guys wanted a Christmas Party. Peter

Hi, Peter! What do you mean..."show up as a character"? You ARE a character (but a nice one)! I guess we'll just have to wait until the 20th to see you again. In the meantime we'll have to make do with only reading your comments, instead of hearing your sparkling wit in person. Debby

Peter Dress up as Santa (you'd need LOTS of paddingt now-tho) then you'd really get us all wanting to sit on your lap!! Joanie

Debby- Count me in! I am bringing a friend who is considering WLS. Anyone want to walk the track with me at 5:30pm at Hamden High School. Last time they turned the lights off on us...but if we walk in a group, we should be ok. I would like to try Applebees--they had a great low carb menu last time I went..or Beninigans is a great place too. I hope we can get a big crowd... Hugs- Joanie

Hey guys... Is the meeting open to non-Aranow patients??? I'm...3 years on 11/16...the meeting is the night before my re-birthday...but I'm a Valin baby (LOL) ... I've been needing support group...but New Haven is a bit tough for me...Hamden would work for me a lot better, since I work at the courthouse in Meriden. Anyway...is the meeting open to all WLS?? I tried to go to a support meeting once to another surgeon (when I was on vacation in another state) and was turned away at the door because I was not a patient of that doctor...rather rude, I thought. Have a Sparkling Evening!! ~CAE~

Christine- This is for all WLS patients...actually I think-mostly from Docs from NH. I also think Dr. Aranow's meetings in Middletown will allow anyone to come Joanie
