I was approved on the 4th and went to Midstate for testing on the 5th

I was approved on the 4th, and Dennis from Dr. Benbrahem's office called me on the 5th to tell me to go to the hospital for pre-testing. In two hours I met I met with admissions, had blood work done, met with the anesthesiologist, had a test done where they check the oxygen in your blood (ouch!) and had an EKG. Midstate Medical Center treated me with kindness and got me through all the tests like clockwork! It was pretty amazing.

Hi Paula! I went to Midstate for my endoscopy. They were FABULOUS. I am from Newington and had never had any experience with them. I'm having my surgery in Middlesex, but was VERY impressed with Midstate. Good luck!!

Does Dr. Benbrahem do lap band surgery? I havent heard of him before. Has he been around for awhile? Is he out of Meriden. Thanks, Joanne

Hi Joanne, Dr. Ben only does RNY, and mostly lap. He will not take anyone over 50BMI. He has offices in Plantsville, Cheshire, Meriden and Wallingford. He and his office staff are wonderful. Good luck.

I am glad everything went so smoothly for you. I am also glad I didn't have to do the blood gas, I HATE pain and needles!! Keep us posted on your progress, your surgery is just around the corner! Carmen
