The waiting.....

is torture. Just talked to Aetna. They received my paperwork late yesterday (even though Lois confirmed the fax went thru on Monday) and it takes 24/48 hours for approval or denial. So, I should know by Monday if I jumped thru enough hoops for them to have this surgery on 11/16. I think inside, I'm just not anticipating anything until I know I'm approved by the insurance company. Without it, there won't be any surgery. So, here I sit.....and I'm trying to pretend I'm working.....and wait.... Hope you are all doing great! I love this message board - you guys are so wonderful! Love, Tammy

If you have followed all the steps.... If your paperwork is in order... ( Lois did it. Don't sweat this one).... If your insurance covers it.... The wait is just the formality. Peter

Thanks Peter. I know I've done everything they require (my hubby works at Aetna so he's always a big help), so now, unless they find something I'm not aware of, I should be okie dokie. It's just that final answer..."your FIRED" no, wait, "the tribe has spoken", no, wait......"you are going to Hollywood" no, wait........ "your APPROVED" will be music to my ears. Have a good one! Try not to think about it too much, it is out of your hands... I know how you feel though. I have terrible insurance and was worried sick. I finally got a statement from the hospital yesterday showing a payment, so they really must have approved it.... Try to relax and enjoy the weekend!! Carmen

I am hitting GNC this weekend and getting the last few things I need. I'm going forward as if I've been approved so I'm not caught off my guard. I've jumped thru all hoops so if I am denied, it would be a paperwork technicality that I can hopefully fix right away. Thanks for the advice Carmen!

Hi, Tammy! I know it won't be easy, but try not to think about it too much this weekend. Like you said, just go along doing what you have to do to get ready. Are you going to the support group meeting Monday night? It would be great to see you and hear that you've gotten your approval. Some of us are planning to get a bite to eat after the meeting. Maybe you could join us. I'm sure it'll be fun. With Peter Ligas there, how could it not be? He's got such a great sense of humor! Have a good weekend! Hugs, Debby
