Does anyone know where I can get a mortar and a pestle so I can crush up my meds after surgery. None of my meds come in liquid so I will have to do this. thanks

Hi Lauren, Thank you!! Nov 10th will be 1 year, boy how that went fast!!!! Today I doing better, I was slacking off with my Vitamins and I felt real tired and run down. Went to go give blood and they told me I couldn't because my iron was very low. So now I back to the taking the vitamins everyday at the same time and taking care of myself. This is the first issue that I have had since having the surgery (best choice I have ever made) I see that you got your date!!! Congrats!!!! Time will go so fast and befgore you know it..........a year passes by!!! Are you going to go to the get together? If so I will see you there!!!! Have a great day!!! Carmen

I got a pill splitter/crusher at GNC. It is made by Vitaminder and is so cool (OK, so I am easily amused!). The top has a blade and cuts pills very nicely. Then the top screws off for a crusher and the bottom has little storage compartments, so it is easy to travel with! Some of my meds were soooooo gross, I couldn't stand to crush, so at 2 weeks I was able to chop into pieces (5-6) and swallow that way. Good Luck The other Carmen

Lauren: Just make sure to ask your doctor and/or pharmacist about crushing/grinding. It can have a bad effect if you do it with some meds (for instance, your system will absorb them too fast.)

Lauren-I got this great little device at GNC. It splits pills in half and crushes them... Joanie
