Have I told you all lately how addicted to this message board I am? I am a computer junkie anyway..watch very little TV and have some adoption groups that I have become very friendly with across the country. Our social life basicly revolves around my neighborhood and the kids. Anyway..the adiction to this board is a healthy thing...and I feel it makes me stronger and will keep me on track. On another topic floating through my mind this morning---all this talk about Maggie's trip to Cancun got me thinking...next year--near my RNY surgery anniversary date, I would like to take a vacation. My son will be starting his last year of high school-so who knows when/if he will ever want to travel with us again. Also it will be a BIG birthday for me next May..anyone want to guess? Also my 20th anniversary in August. I was thinking of Beaches at Turks and Caicos--wanted lots of things for the preteen and teen to do too. Then I was thinking about combining a cruise with a visit to my sister's new place in Florida. Any suggestions on the best cruise lines for an 12 and 17 year olds?? OK...the titile of this was Food log and I have gotten waaay off topic here. Thanks for listening to me ramble! B-umm its 11am...guess breakfast is a done deal S-protein drink-will do that now L-think lunch will be later--after Lauryn's soccer game...I had ravioli last night instead of my perdue low fat chicken w/salsa and lite sour cream..so I will enjoy that for lunch D-I have absolutely NO clue...will keep you posted..I have several options...one which is chicken. Have a great Halloween weekend CT! Hugs Joanie

Hi Joanie, I know what you mean about being obsessed with vacation...After my surgery this year I started thinking about places to go to celebrate my weight loss at one year. We are going to Walt Disney World in April. I will be 11 months out, and I hope almost normal size to go on all the rides. My daughter will have just turned 6 by then. I am so excited too, I think about it ALL the time. Finally to go on rides again...and she just loves Belle and all the princesses, and my husband has never been there, so I'm excited for him too. A coworker let me rent his time share for a very small price and so we are staying in a 4 star resort with a full kitchen, private patio, 2 bedrooms, and a whirlpool in the master bath!! Can you say EXCITED? If I didn't have a small child, I would like to go to Cancun or Aruba, somewhere tropical. We'll have to save that trip for when my daughter is older. Happy Halloween! Anne

Anne, We have done the Disney thing to death! My best friend lives in Orlando and her stepdad worked in Epcot and got us in free for years. We used to average going about every 2 yrs. I think we are ready for a cruise or an island!! I love Disney tho..and when the kids are young it IS the best. Your daughter is going to go nuts there! Enjoy! Hug- Joanie

I got so carried away I forgot to post what I ate. B- Morning Start Breakfast Bar L- small salad with 2 tsp cheese, and 2 slices pepperoni D- about 3 ozs.Chicken Marsala, two spoonfuls of mashed potatoes, and roasted zucchini. (Ate dinner at a restaurant with a gift card we had) S- probably Ben & Jerry's No sugar added New York Super Fudge Chunk And, during my post about Disney World, I was going to say that your kids are at a good age for Disney. I went there when I was 16 and had a blast. That was the main reason I posted about it, but then I forgot to mention it...got sidetracked. Bye, Anne

Hey Joanie, I seem to get onboard at the tail end everytime. I just wanted to tell you that last April we took a Royal Carribean cruise to the Bahamas with my two kids-17 and 14. They had a blast. There was a kids club so DH and I were on our own. We drove down and took a 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral and then drove home(DH is a firefighter but he will not fly--go figure) Linnie

Hi Joanie, I don't normally reply to the food log post - just cut and paste them to save when I have surgery! I wanted to tell you I have been on the Disney Cruise 3 times and I agree it is great for kids of all ages. I will be leaving on a Royal Caribbean cruise on Nov. 6th and I will let you know how it goes. They sure have a lot of great excursions to select from on each island. We are leaving out of Puerto Rico and are going to Aruba, Curiso (sp?), St. Martin (my favorite place) and St. Thomas. We are actually taking a ferry to St. John from St. Thomas to go snorkling, etc. It is a seven day cruise. I will let you know how it goes - they say it is better for families when the kids are older - the rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, etc. Just let me say if you book in advance (we booked 13 months in advance - called first booking), it is so inexpensive, I couldn't believe it! Good luck making a decision...there are a lot of choices out there!! Nancy
