Anyone know of Dr's in CT who perform the VSG

The only two I have found are Dr. Robert Bell and Dr Laura Choi. I have gone through all the steps with Dr. Valin and wanted the Magenstrausse and Mills procedure which is similar but I'm on my second appeal already. My insurance advocate told me she has seen the VSG approved in the past so I may need to switch Dr's. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

he was in the same boat...about VSG and Dr. Bell...he had trouble with his current  surgeon doing the VSG and ended up with Dr Bell. good luck! Jennifer

JohnnyB,     I recently switched from Dr. Giles at The Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain to Dr. Bell at Yale after I learned about the VSG and did some research. Dr. Giles office wont be doing VSG til early next year so I needed to switch to get an earlier date  and to feel more comfortable with a surgeon experienced with the procedure.     I have heard nothing but good things about Dr. Bell and when I met him I felt very comfortable. He spent two hours with me going over the details and hearing me out in my cir****tances. Hello-I had Dr Bell do my VSG on 4/2-I couldn't be happier-he is a wonderufl surgeon who spends time answering your questions-even in the hospital.  He is very experienced in this area-I am pleased with my whole experience-he also took info from a previous program that I had looked into-didn't make me repeat everything.  I can't say enough good tihings about him-being an RN myself I think I am a good judge of doctors.  I would recommend anyone to go to him.
