I just came back from my pre- op class before my surgery on movember,8 2004. i was supposed to lose 10 lbs by today and i ended up losing 14, (how)? i took almos half a gallon of laxative and that did it i guess. I was afraid of even snezzing all night last night hahahaha!!!!. The class was very informative they showed us step by step how was going to be from arrival to the hospital the day of surgery untill the discharge date. i will be in the hospital for 4 days and i will not have any tubes in my mouth when i wake up . I gave them an A+ on that. the only thing that im still worried about is that thingy called FOLEY!!!!!! i think i will be able to handle it anyway. Ill be posting untill my surgery and keep those prayers up because i know you guys are the best ....... Victor.

Hi Victor, You'll be a LOOSER before you know it! And I can't soeak for men but for me the Foley usually stinks...but tolerable. It'll be the last of your issues. You'll be so happy to be on the loosing side it won't matter! When I was finally free of the foley and IV's I felt like a new woman. We were looking fir you last night at the support group. Maybe in 2 weeks? Congrats!!! -Deb

Congratulations on completing your pre-op class. Your day will be here before you know it. The whole foley thing is pretty much the same concept for the guys But from what I've heard is .... Whatever you do... DO NOT try to pul it out. Ouch. I am praying for your smooth ride to the losing side. Don't stress. It's all good. Your in really good hands. Take care. I'll definitly be looking for your Angel update when I get home from work that day. Take care and stay sweet. ~Julie~

I'm glad you learned so much, it really helps you be prepared come surgery day (which is very close!). For me the foley was irritating, but not a huge deal, though I couldn't wait to get rid of it. Walking around carrying a bag of urine isn't my idea of fun....... Carmen

Congrats Victor!!! That is awesome. You are on the move, dude, and will be on the looser's bench in no time. Wow, it is hard to think it will be in such a short time. You will do well, and I will look to you for my info, since I will be following in your footsteps with Dr. B. Ciao, NA
