Last night I had a very bad pain on the left side of my incision under my breast. Finally I ended up throwing up foamy stuff and a little blood came up too. I blew all the blood vessels in my face so I look awful. But I still have the pain. OMG it hurts. I'm nervous to eat anything so today I have sipped on a protein shake and its going down ok. It hasn't come back up. I've tried to call my Dr. a few times but its been busy and I just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced this? Should I be worried or maybe am I still sore from throwing up? What could it be? Well....I finally got through to Dr. Aranow's office and this was my update and response to a few nice people ion the board. Thank you all for responding. I did finally get thru to my Dr.'s office. They believe something may have gotten stuck (Lois said things can be lodged for up to 6 hours) Thats probably the reason for the vomiting. Because the pain is high and I'm not a total newbie she does not think its a blockage of any sort but she is going to consult with the surgeon and call me back. Instructions are to drink just fluids. Baby my pouch for a few days and hopefully it will feel better. Take tylenol for the pain and rest. Also to call then tomorrow and let them know how I am. If it gets much worse I have to go to the Emergency Room ASAP. So that has been my day is GBS heaven...lol I hope all of you are well. Thanks for letting me whine. ~Julie~

So sorry you're experiencing this. Be kind to your little baby pouch. I'm sure it will pass soon. Stick to liquids and then when you're ready go back to soft foods first then full solids. It will be easier on your baby pouch. rest and take care- OK? BUT- if anything changes dont be afraid to call Dr. A!! Lisa

It's a reaction from changing your hair color...... and I have a bridge.......... You get the idea. Yes, you probably got something stuck. Remember group on Monday? Elaina said "CHEW, CHEW, CHEW" a gentle reminder of why. You will survive, but baby your baby for a few days. If there is ANY sign of it happening again, GO TO AN ER!!!! Remind them that you have had a RNY bypass so they don't just decide to scope you and puncture you along the trip. Peter
