OT:::: My Dad is famous... Kinda...

Not too many people know my families story... but right now... in today's paper (The Day) my dad is on the front page! Please feel free to read it at www.theday.com. It is titled "I'll fight for my house". I have contacted EVERYONE that you can possibly think of in regards to keeping my parents house for them. Recently, I have looked into taking it on myself ... just so nothing happens to them. "Everyone" includes John Kerry, Pres. Bush, senators, congressmen, newspapers, news stations, Howard Stern, head of the VA, websites, everyone... This is the first to listen. Please read.. and any ideas are welcome. Hi beckie, Thanks for sharing your Father's story with us. I am disgusted when I hear of things like this happening to our Veterans. Disgusted. Period. I would try contacting Atty General Blumenthal, he's a HUGE advocate for people like your Dad, and can really do what it takes to help him out. PLEASE keep us informed. Beckie: I just read the article on your Dad. That really ****** me off, to be frank! It's amazing that these organizations rip off their clients so horribly, and that the Veterans are associated with them. The loan was probably bought out by this awful organization, as often happens with loans. I really hope the publicity and the hard work you all are doing will result in keeping the home he deserves! Hi Beckie: I did read the article on your Dad. I, too, thought -what a shame. We do a great disservice to all of our vets. The timing for the article was great. This is a big election year. Did you call all of the candidates? Tomorrow you may find some of them trying to jump on the bandwagon to get some publicity. I will keep my fingers crossed that your Dad gets some help real soon. Hi Beckie, I just wanted to let you know I forwarded the info to my dads best friend who lives in AL. He is a Veterans Advocate / Attorney, He fights for all veterans rights and really knows his stuff. He is a very intelligent man and has been thru it all. I asked for his inpu and as soon as I hear back I will email you. I hope I can help your parents out somehow. Tell them we are all praying for them. ~Julie~
