4 weeks post op down 2 pounds help!

I am upset to find out that 2 weeks after my post op appointment I am only down 2 pounds.Did it work?Am I ever going to lose weight?has this happened to anyone else?What should I expect?HELP!!!!!!!!

Hi Catherine...I'm a patient of Dr. Floch and I live in Stamford, too! You don't mention how much you lost at your first post op appt, but I too, didn't lose anything for almost 2 weeks after my initial 23 lb loss in 10 days. I just had my second post op on Friday and was down 7 more pounds. Don't worry....It will happen!

Well I have lost a total of 20 pounds since surgery.20 of it was the first 2 weeks from being on the liquid diet.Thanks for your response I really do appreciate!Maybe im just being impatient. Oh and congrats on your loss!

I had it on the 28th. Which hospital were you at? I had mine at Norwalk.

Catherine -- Same thing happened to me and many others on this website. It seems like about a month into recovery, we stop losing weight for a couple of weeks or so. I promise you, the weight loss will return, and with a vengeance. Keep the faith!! Kathy F.
