Dr Phil show on 10/29/04

Hey everyone, I just saw a post on my August messageboard that Dr Phil's show on Friday will be about gastric bypass patients. Sounds like it might be interesting and informative. Sandy

Interesting maybe... informative? Hopefully in a positive way. I have heard he is totally AGAINST any WLS. Hope this is not his way of promoting his ideas and trashing WLS. don't get me wrong... I think Phil has some good things to say and offer. But on this topic...he has been totally off the mark in the past. Towanda

Towanda, I agree with you about Dr. Phil's attitude about WLS, but with all the publicity about it now, and probably some pressure from his fans, he may have finally done some research. I will be watching for a change in attitude from him about this life saving surgery. Pam

Not likely. You have to remember that to him, he needs to sell books and foods, not tell people how a gastric bypass can work for them. So, what so you think he will support??? Peter

That's why I'm watching the show Friday, to see. I am always curious to see how he plays things out. I'm not saying he will do a 360, but he may do a 90. At least he is doing a show on it finally, starring Carnie Wilson. Yes, he does want to sell his books and such, but deep down I think his heart is in the right place.

Hi Towanda, Yes I agree with you. I have never seen Dr Phil say anything positive about WLS. But maybe he will at least be a little unbiased about it on this show. We will have to see. Talk to you after the show, Sandy

I can't find this show on Friday, when I go to record it, they all say that it is about "Young children that lie, steal, and swear to test their parents". Can you please help me find this show so that I can record it? Thanks Beth

Hey Beth, The show is on at 10am on channel 3. I get an e-mail from the show saying what is on each day. Pam
