Christine, thanks so much for your post. I do not think it to be high and mighty at all... just words of wisdom from someone who is succeeding in a big way. I am listening to my pouch, he talks to me a lot when the water is going down to fast, or when I drink really cold liquids. It is funny, but I was thinking of naming him too. LOL... I like that. I appreciate your words of advice. Congratulations on your success! Terri

Hi Terri, I'm glad you did not get offended by my little turn at the pulpit, so to speak. LOL I've seen so many people close to me fail...including one who no longer speaks to me at all because she did not have the success I did...and then began to regain. I tried to help her by giving her the very same advice I just gave you...and a few other pointers I have picked up along the way...she chose to wallow in failure and severed our friendship. It hurt badly. If I do see the numbers going up on the scale, I yank my own chain very hard. I go right back to basics. I don't pretend to be perfect, and I make mistakes and am "naughty" sometimes. So, when the numbers go up, I yank my chain. I go back to basics. I'll go back on a clear liquids only diet for 6 days. That will shrink my pouch down a little bit (not much, but some). Then I go to hi protein/lean foods...deli turkey/roast beef/tuna...NO carbs. I detox my body from the carbs for that first 6 days. Oh, it's NOT easy...but I do work at it. I stay on that hi protein diet for about 2-3 weeks. I usually spank myself for about a month. That is enough to get me back into the swing of things...acting like I am supposed. I usually do this once every six months. Which I think is why I never go more than 5 lbs above "MY" goal weight. I weighed in on Friday and I am 119. Now, 2 weeks ago, when I saw my doctor, I was 128 according to his scale...that's fully clothed with jeans, sweater and boots on. 123 on my own scale, fully nekkid. I like the look of 119, so that's where I try to stay. I saw numbers going up, and I yanked my chain. It's not always easy, but always worth it. Have a Sparkling Day!! {{HUGS}} ~CAE~
