Dietican Problem
Hi Jeanne,
I met with Elina twice: once when I had to go over a meal plan to lose the required 20 pounds prescribed by Dr. A and then the follow up where I had to see if I had lost the weight. I thought Elina was the nicest person. I did not know Amy the previous dietcian so I can not compare the two but as far as you having to lose 50 pounds, what did doctor A. tell you when you met with him. He told me 20 and that is why when I met with Elina she said I had to lose 20 pounds. Are you sure the doctor did not mention 50 pounds because if so then I would call and ask to get it straightened out. Now for me I was 5'9 and 386 and had to lose 20. I guess it depends on your BMI. Do not get frustrated because so many people have it worse off with the people they are dealing with. I myself can honestly say that no matter what dietician you meet with they are not going to fully understand what it means to be our size unless they have been through this surgery themselves. Now they can not undermine what we are trying to achieve but just let this be one of the first stepping stones to a longer and healthier life.
