!! Medical ID Bracelet !!
Hi Tara,
I guess I must happily agree with Lisa C when it comes to the medical alert bracelets. We did ask Dr. Bell at one of our support group meetings and his response made alot of sense. NO ONE should force any NG tube further than it goes. As Lisa said the chances of a tube being inserted without you knowing it are slim to none but I guess another piece of jewlery can never hurt...![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/lol.gif)

P.S. Congrats on the great weight loss. Hope you are taking care of yourself nutritionally and vitamin wise

I too had seen info on the main board quite some time ago about the ID bracelets and I did ask Dr.Bell at a support meeting about the need for an ID.His answer was that it is not necessary for a few reasons. The first being that the pouch is completely healed within three months time, and is actually quite rugged. No Ng tube should be passed if it meets that much resistance.Personally having put Ng tubes down,if you meet resistance you STOP.Finally as was said earlier,if you were in a condition that you needed it for survival then it becomes that, a priority. If you would feel better regardless, then by all means get one to ease your mind, but it should say "no blind ng passing".There is also a sight with some beautiful bracelets that can be found in the Library section for the main board.Carol
