Still no bill to require bariatric coverage

The current legislative session is ending in a few days and once again there was no bill to compel insurers to cover bariatric procedures.  In fact, unless I missed it, I didn't even see a reference to one being considered in the Insurance and Real Estate Committee. Does anyone know if there had been any effort this year? 

I think there was but I can't guarentee it. I know we are working on getting things together for the next session.

There is a meeting at Middlesex Hospital Monday night at 5:30 concerning this very matter. Someone from Dr. Arranow's office called me Friday to let me know about it. I forget which conference room it is in, but you can probably call the hospital and find out. I'm planning on being there, since I'm in the middle of fighting my way through the appeals process right now.
