I've got my date!

Finally, 10 months after making my first call to Dr. Barba's office, I have my surgery date: Monday, Nov. 22, 2004. I've lost 21.5 pounds since my July appt with the nutritionist, so I'm now qualified to have the laproscopic surgery (Dr. Barba won't do it if your BMI is over 50). The challenge now is to keep it off! I have my abdominal ultrasound tomorrow (10/19), and my pre-op/post-op seminar on Nov. 11. The countdown begins! Also, I want to say a huge thank you to Darlene D., who has been a great friend, and supporter. She's lost 80-plus pounds, and is truly an inspiration. I am ready for this step, and I look forward to hearing from some of you, too. have a wonderful day! Heather

Heather!!!! Congratulations!!!! What a wonderful feeing to know that all yourhard work has paid off!!! Doesn't that feel great!!!! I meet with Dr Barba this Thursday and CAN"T WAIT!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! You must be sooo excited. I am so happy that you have been blessed to have Darlene there for you and she has helped you so. The CT board members have been a godsend to me.
