MY WOW moment of the decade...I belong to a weight lose support group called TOPS...it is a weekly meeting...and the support is fantastic...anyway..the have a state recognition day..and they have division winners....division 9 is medically enhanced weight lose...so I was the Divison 9 1st place winner with a 92 lb loss for 2007---so my before picture was displayed (it was 152 pounds ago) and I come out on stage in a gown...with my story of my struggle and where I am now....it was amazing...I have never felt more like Julia Roberts in my life....WLS not only saved my life...it has given my life new meaning!!!

How cool is that? I had someone not recognize me last night at wor****il I laughed. Aint WOW moments great?

Let me tell you, Jennifer looked beautiful in her gown!  I love going to TOPS!  They are a great support group, with lots of encouragement.  They take recognition for accomplishing your weight loss goals seriously!  And did I mention it was so much fun??!! Jennifer, you are truly a success, and a great example of  how combining your wls with a weekly support group meeting is the way to go.  You Rock! TOPS Hugs! 

this place is just as great as TOPS!  I have gotten a lot of valuable information (IE the biotin that has given my hair new life!) and mutual support.... WE ROCK!

First and foremost, CONGRATS! Questions... Tops... is there a listing somewhere online of area meetings? and... biotin really worked? being postop rny AND post menopausal... not so good for good hair days. T.

www.tops.org meetings are all over the state on different nights!  I think it is $24 annually plus $2/week and a 25cent anti.  you also have to pay if you gain weight--5 cents a 1/4 pound--but there are a lot of contests so most of the time you can win the fee!  biggest loser of the week wins the basket of quarters (so long as they lose the week before) and there are several more incentives!  They have an exchange plan, however you don't have to follow their diet... it is worth it!  you have to face the scale every week, and you get alot of support!

OK, I don't want to come off bad, but they do accept us? I read on the main board that someone got kicked out and it was cause she had surgery?
