I really like the Nectar protein powders. You can mix them with water, juice or milk. Real Meals are tasty and so are EAS carb sense. Go to the vitamin shop and pick up some. Congrats on the surgery date.

Carrie , I love the carb countdown "milk" I mix the skim and chocolate 50/50. I add some unflavored protein powder. If I make a 16 oz drink...its 30g of protein. Good Luck Joanie

Carolyn, One thing I have heard from many people is not to pile stock up on anything because from I hear your taste can change 100% after surgery..... Maybe get a few of a couple of things. Hope that helps! SUPER GOOD LUCK!!! HOW EXCITING FOR YOU!! Carrie

I agree with a lot of the posts. I stocked up like a madwoman...wound up giving a lot away. I still have a lot of stuff I don't like. I suggest Nectar too, you can buy samples from bariatriceating.com, and whenever I order they send a "freebe" of something new to try. Good luck, Anne

Carolyn, If you go to the Middletown meeting tomorrow nite you can take some of my packets of Isopure for free. I ended up not liking them, mainly because I just don't care for milky drinks. I also just purchased a large canister of Nectar for $40 and used 2 scoops. It was too sweet for my liking so I am selling it for $20 if you are interested. I did not try any of these before surgery and kept buying powders until I found what I like... so even though I didn't stock up, I ended up having powders that I didn't care for. I prefer the tasteless powders in decaf coffee, milk, yogurt, ff puddings and soup. Terri

I have tried several too, and am having a hard time finding something I like. So far Unflavored Unjury has been my best bet. I can mix it with many things and not taste it. The carb countdown milk is also very good. I did go to bariatriceating.com and ordered several samples, but just haven't tried them yet. The milky drinks made me nauseaus the first few days, so I am having a hard time trying anything new. I also found the grape Isopure (20oz bottle) to be pretty good. each bottle has 40 g of protein, plus it helps you get more fluid in. Good luck, Carmen

Good luck on your upcoming surgery! I also found the Nectar protein very tasty. I order the Fuzzy Navel flavor -- I find it's the best tasting for me. I also drink the Carb Countdown milk -- it's perfectly fine to me! I will agree, however, that your taste buds really do change after surgery, so don't buy too much too soon. Cheers! Kathy F.
