As Mickey's pouch churns the continueing Saga

Hello All, So here I am two weeks to the day out from Dr. Barba "fixing" up my insides.  This past week... I've been extremely nauseous, throwing up, killer intense pain, & intestinal spasms that make me feel like I'm in labor.  Can't eat & barely drink.  No pooing & no passing gas..  Of course Dr. B is out this week (& last) his office is useless... someone was suppose to call me & of course no one did.  When I called back I was told "someone would call me Monday"??  Didn't even listen that I was having issues. Dr. Douda (?) the on call Dr called me last night & told me to get my butt to St Francis asap for a CT-Scan that my symptoms are of a blockage somewhere & he's afraid I'm severly dehydrated.. What's funny is Dr. Douda knew EXACTLY who I was & we met once at the hospital during my last stay.  That was impressive... I'm packing my bags for yet what sounds like ANOTHER freakin surgery over the same issue that was obviously missed by Dr. Barba... My husband & I are still not sure exactly what he did in there last time.. Dr. Douda said I had a revision done on my pouch.. HOWEVER with how I'm feeling... I'm not so sure there was more than just adhesions that needed to be removed & a nasty gallbladder.  OK.. WHAT THE %&$(%&$(%&$&%()$&%*$&%$   I thought this was taken care of 2 weeks ago... I am so freakin upset, angry, & sad I don't know what to do with myself at this point.  I don't know what  to think other than I am sooooo done with his Office & him when this is finished. Dr Douda doesn't want me to eat (can't anyways) & to keep sipping fluids carefully.  Sitting here typing to ya'll & I feel like I'm going to give "birth" it's awful.  Sipping water & my pouch & insides are on fire.  I've lost 20 pounds since the surgery.  I have about another "20" to safely play with before I look anerexic or sickly.   I really don't want to go through surgery again... Please keep me in your prayers gang.. I'm so upset & scared...  Mickey

Hi Mikey, I know that you're probably in the hosp right now, but I wanted to send best wishes to you... GET RID OF BARBA...there's a reason he's got a bad rep. and you're finding out the hard way. (sorry to those that love him, but I've heard too many horror stories from nurses at St Francis about him and wonder why this man is allowed to practice medicine, let alone operate on people) If you like this Dr Douda guy, ask him if he'd take you on as a patient.  Switch over...there is no need to feel loyal to any medical "diety" as they like to think of themselves. Any doctor or their office that does NOT call you back when you call needing immediate medical attention needs to be reported to the state medical board.  This is just plain negligence. Keep us posted as to your progress, ok?  Feel better and I'm praying that they find a quick resolution to these problems! Paula
