Missed my walk yesterday...my walking buddies had too much to do..and frankly, so did I. I don't want to start this businiess of excuses for not walking..I know one day can lean into two...and so on. I will be out there tonight, I promise. B-protein drink S-hard boiled egg L-late lunch going to try to meet a friend S-Momentum D-Beef stew..I am looking fwd to this meal! Joanie

I still haven't started any exercise routine, I need to get me some walking buddies!! It is too easy not to do it if noone cares..... I didn't stick to yesterdays plan, so I really need to today. I got some unflavored protein powder (Unjury) yesterday. I put a scoop (20g) in some tomato soup last night, and couln't tell it was there! I will keep experimenting and hopefully I have found a product I will really like! B- Carb countdown smoothie w/ 1 scoop Unjury S- Remainder of smoothie L- 2 oz Turkey Chili (no beans) D- 3 oz southwest chicken soup w/ 1/2 scoop Unjury S- s/f jello if I feel like it Carmen

Carmen, I have read so much about ths unjury protein..I am almost out of my GNC stuff..I am going to order it. Its the unflavored, I assume? Can I buy in anywhere local or just online. Do you have a site with good prices? Let me know! Thanks for the tip Joanie

Yes, I have the unflavored, but they also make chocolate and vanilla (I think those are the flavors). I do not know of anywhere locally, I got it from there website ( www.unjury.com ). I don't know how much the GNC stuff is, but this is around $16 for 15 scoops. I paid $36 for 2 containers w/ shipping, which I din't think was too bad. Hope you like it! Carmen

Carmen Could you tell me if the Unjury UU powder changed the consistancy of your food at all. I can not stand drinking anything remotely thick. The regular protein shakes did not work for me at all so I have been drinking Isopure which I do like. I'm starting to get sick of it and have tried a few unflavored powders and while there is not much taste to them, they do change the consistancy of the drink (such as Iced Tea) and "thicken" it up. Thanks! Leslie

I haven't tried it in anything like Iced Tea, but it did thicken my smoothie a little bit, but not bad. I have tried other shakes and can't stand them either. I don't mind certain Isopure flavors (I get the bottled ones), but some are nasty! I haven't tried any other unflavored powders, so I can't really compare it, sorry. I will try it in some Crystal Light tomorrow and let you know what happens! Carmen

Thanks Carmen Glad to hear I'm not the only one who hates thick protein drinks. I am beginning to think that there is no unflavored protein powder that will not add thickness to a liquid. I do the Isopure bottles too. The only one I really love is the Grape Frost. I also do the Orange and Alpine Punch - not bad. I'm not sure where you get your Isopure but I found an internet site vigourousliving.com that if you order the drink by the case, it saves you considerable money. That web site also has an interesting protein calculator. I just saw some recipes on unjury.com using the Unjury vanilla protein powder that sound great so maybe I'll try that root. Do let me know what happens with the Crystal Light and thanks again! Leslie

Beef stew sounds so delicious right now! Must be the dreary chilly weather outside. I might have to look through my freezer to see if there is any stew meat in there Breakfast- Protein bar Lunch- healthy choice dinner S- undecided D- Healthy choice dinner or beef stew if I can find some in my freezer S- undecided Healthy choice dinners are on sale at stop and shop this week at 50% off. They are pretty low in fat and really good in protein. Might be too much food if you have lots of restriction but with the restriction that I have in my band right now it is perfect.

well, here it is 11:30pm and I am just entering my food log today. That flavorless protein powder sounds pretty good. Right now I am only using beneprotein added to things and it is working, but 1 scoop is only 6g of protein and it would be great to get more. I tried it in my decaf coffee today, iced and it did not change the consistancy or taste of the coffee. B - cottage cheese L - Ham salad D - gr. turkey with faita seasoning and a little melted cheese on top s - 1/2 sf,ff white choc pudding with 1 scoop beneprotein terri down 27 pounds!
