I am going for the RNY. Gosh, that sounds like such a long time to wait for an appointment with the surgeon. I know they're busy but dang on it . The one good part about the wait is that I'm learning now what it's going to be like after the surgery and cutting out the sweets and sipping the water. I saw the nutritionist for the first time on 10/6 and she told me I needed to lose 2 pounds by the next time I saw her on 11/7. Well, I've already lost 7 pounds just by exercising and eliminating soda!!

Hi Delicia When I first started the process which was last November, we were instructed to schedule all the appointments and then fax the form in, not wait till after you had the appointments. I believe it because they want to get you in the system and see that you are truly moving forward on the entire process/surgery. Once I had tests/appointments done, the doctors sent over the results and they filed everything in a file they started for you when you sent over the appt. form. If appointments had to get changes, I did not bother to update the office, all they want to see is that you are serious about going through with this and that you are getting the doctor appointments completed. They will not schedule you to see Dr. Barba until they have ALL the doctor results and test result on file. When you call to schedule that appointment, Rosemary will first check your file and tell you what may still be missing! Leslie
