Scheduling question - Dr. Aranow

Hi guys! I have a quick question - I want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I met with Elina on Friday - the last thing I had to do. She wasn't clear regarding a time frame of what happens next. I assume I wait for Lois to call me with a surgery date and insurance approval. But how do I know if they've received my psych. evaluation? She said they were very backlogged and even though it wasn't in my file, it doesn't mean it hasn't been received. Should I call them and stay on top of it, or let them be and wait. I've actually never really talked to the office staff except to make appts. for the office - should I call Lois? I guess I'm getting down to the wire, and I need to get the time off from work (and hubby does too) and get the 3 kids all set for my surgery date as far as logistics. Can you please share with me your experiences? Thanks!

Hi Tammy, What I did when I finished with all of my appointments was email Lois. She got back to me the next morning and also called me with a date. All within 2 days. Good Luck...Chrisanne

Thanks Chrisanne. I spoke to the office today.. It seems that Lois has been out of work due to an injury of some sort. Maybe we all should send our prayers for her.. hugs Pattie D

Yes, keep on them..either by phone call or email. I just assumed they had my endoscopy and colonoscopy reports...didn't find out until the last minute they were missing the pathology reports. The day I weighed in Lois gave me a tentative surgery date. Hope this helps. Joanie
