Oh I'm sorry - Yes, I'm home and trying to recover the best I can. I have not posted much because I have not wanted to complain too much. I am having a few VERY crappy days. I just want to feel progress. I am 9 days out and still tired, bloated, nauseas, and a bit light headed when I try to do anything. I know it will get better and thats all I can go on for now.  I DO REALLY APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR CONCERN - THANK YOU MATT I will be in touch again soon

Hi Matt, Things will get better!  The first few weeks tend to be a bit rough with trying to get used to little food...drinking shakes... drinking.. drinking.. & more drinking...  I was also dizzy & light headed the first few weeks..it goes away...  I just had a mess internally & was probably at St Francis when you were.  (Week of April 14th) so I understand about the bloating.... Forgot what it felt like along with the uncomfortable stitches.. (Dr. Barba had to open me up once again).  Maybe we passed each other in the hall way on floor 6?  :-) Take cat naps when you need them.. It'll definately help you in recovery... If you can walk a little also... Everyday will become easier... Take it easy on yourself... You are making progress already..  Be kind to yourself these things you're going through will pass... we've all gone through it & know exactly where you're coming from. Holler at me if you have questions, Mickey

Hi Matt - Hope that you'll be feeling better soon - just so you know - it is totally normal to feel like crap for a little while - I know my friend who had the RNY was extremely tired for 6 weeks and wouldn't even see anyone until she was 4 weeks out.........keep hydrated and rest..............if it makes you feel better, come and complain - there might be some suggestions to help you feel better that you haven't heard about before!

Yeah, what Tammy said. I was on here all the time asking questions about stuff. I know you have a different doc but Dr. A said you shouldn't be nausous the first few weeks. Does Dr. B. know about this?

Matt - Like the other posters have said...feel free to complain, whine, carry on with us.  I think you'll find that the more you post on here (complaints, etc.) you will get some good feedback on things to try differently to alleviate any problems you are having.   If Dr. B doesn't know about the nausea, I'd give him a call - they do not want you to feel this way...so there are anti-nausea meds they can prescribe to alleviate this issue. The boating on me did not go away until week 3 or a little later....I went back to work after 4 weeks and barely fit into my clothing.  It takes time and patience - some of us have better patience than others....me, I have none and wanted it gone NOW. Tiredness is normal and actually, I was pretty tired for the first three months.   I was lightheaded for the first two weeks - especially in the shower. Here's to hoping you feel better soon!
