A HUGE wow moment or two!
Well, the weather got nice and I am still w/o shorts so I raided my hubby's shorts. He has some old ones that are small and I got into a men's 52 and they were big! I had to wear a belt. I started this journey at a size 60 men's. I also went shopping for jeans the other day and got into a size 28. I was a size 36 and that wasn't my high. I also went to church Sunday and everyone kept saying how good I looked. The hubyy and I also went for a walk/hike Sunday and I didn't have any problems getting out of breath like I did last June. The only problem I had was my knees since I have bone on bone. It's exciting. I never thought I would see 275. But then again, I never thought I would have seen 387 either.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

Hi Kathy,
Enjoy those wow moments.. they come and surprise you when you least expect it...
I remember when my pants were hanging off me... (Started off at a 28-32 Women's size) I'll never forget coming out of the Lane Bryant fitting room in a size 18 jean & bawling like a baby. My husband thought I was in pain or hurt myself... There was such JOY! I was overcome by emotion.
I never take for granted my WOW moments.. & I'm just about 3 years out..
Keeping Shining!

Ah, Kathy, you're bringing back such wonderful memories (I'm starting my 5th year out of surgery- CAN'T believe it!) - I remember taking a couple of pair of size 6 jeans into a fitting room and thinking, "No way in hell..." - they slipped right over my hips and zipped without a hitch. I stood staring at myself in that full-length mirror, transfixed and transformed. I started crying as I stood there, tears just rolled down my face (I weighed 360 and wore size 32-34 the week of my surgery). One of my favorite "Wow!" moments happened at the lab at my hospital where I get my bloodwork done, however. I'll never forget sitting down in the chair, and the technician just plopped that arm rest, right over my tummy, plopped it right down with plenty of room to spare. I couldn't breathe and I had to tell her, "Wait a minute, please. I'm having a MOMENT." It never gets old!!! I'm especially happy you and your husband are enjoying your new-found energy and level of physical fitness together - THAT'S what you've simply got to keep up, movement is the greatest joy. Thanks for your post! Maureen
