What a Weekend! - Long...

(1) Happy early birthday! (2) Congrats on the tickets! Much as I love my Yanks, I seriously doubt there will be anything approaching a sweep this year. Our pitching is so bad, and now El Duque is injured & Mariano's in-laws died in Panama while cleaning his pool ... so he's out for at least the first game. Heck, we never had much of a chance of making the world series this year, now we're like sitting ducks! But ya never know, we do have a way of rebounding ..... Enjoy!! Kathy

I was so sad when I read about Marano's family. What a tragic story!! I read an article written by a Sox fan...comparing the Yankees to ****roaches...neither die!! Gotta laugh at that, as true as it is! It'll be a great series, regardless. I'm going out tonight to buy my snacks, coffee and get as much hoemwork done as possible to concentrate on my boys. I can't believe you have tickets to the game! I just heard on WEEI (I'm addicted to listening to them) that tickets to a World Series game at Fenway would go for $10,000 and bleacher seats would go for $2,000! Well, the series with the Yanks may be even BIGGER than the World Series...so that seat is priceless! ENJOY! I'm so jealous! GO SOX! Ann 64lbs GONE!

I am happy that you were able to get the tickets although I am a Yankee fan. But I'm not such a huge fan that I can't wish for you to have a blast at the game!
