Thanks to all of you
Hello--this is the first time I have written anything, but I have been reading everything on this site as I prepare for lap rny which is now this Wed, Oct. 13th. I want to be able to help others after my surgery the way you all help me and don't even know me. I am scared but sure it is the right thing to do. I have a supportive husband and kids. I would like to be less afraid of something going wrong.
I am very grateful to all of you who participate on this site.
HS:
Glad you posted!!! Best of luck to you on Wednesday. You are in great hands with Dr.Bell. I was kind of scared about the surgery up to the night before my big day. They will take very good care of you at Yale. This surgery is the best thing I ever did for myself. I can not say enough about the positive effects of the surgery as well as how wonderful Dr.Bell is in both his bedside manner and his exceptional skills. Let me know how you are doing. Also do you have an angel who will keep us posted while you are in the hospital???
Take care,
Chryssie
Hi HS,
First of all - you have THE BEST surgeon - so don't worry, you are in good hands. Also, we are all here for you now - and later, and we all give and take as needed, so please don't feel bad for posting or asking questions or anything else you may need now or later.
I'm wondering if I've ever met you at the meetings at Yale? If not, you might want to try to get there - they are wonderful and very helpful.
God Bless - you'll be in my prayers.

Welcome aboard, HS! Glad to have you!
Oct 13th is my birthday...but I'd MUCH rather celebrate your joining the Loosers Bench then turning another year older!
Being nervous is completely normal. In fact, I'd be worried if you weren't nervous at all! Having a supportive family will make things easier, and when you need us, we'll be here.
Make sure you keep us informed, ok?
Happy Rebirthday!
