Feelin' down....still on plateau!

JA,
Sounds like you are doing all the right things, I hope the scale starts moving in the right direction soon. On the other hand, you are eating right, walking and biking which is an awesome thing you are doing for your body. I don't know about you, but 3 weeks ago, I wouldn't have even entertained the thought of going out and walking because my knees hurt so bad, now I am up to 2 miles a day. I know how disappointed you must feel though, I have just started and hit a plateau already myself. I know that 24-25 lbs is a lot for 2 1/2 weeks, so I just keep telling myself to relax - it will happen, but you get such a rush when you see the weight dropping off so fast, it is difficult when it stops temporarily.
Hang in there.
Terri
Some people may not agree with me, but something I learned at Weigh****chers, try eating a little more. We need energy to get us through the day, and if we are not eating enough (especially if we exercise a lot) we need more food so that our bodies don't think they are starving. Just add maybe 50-100 calories of protein or something good for you.

I agree with the post(oops-forgot who) that says don't eat less..eat a bit more... keep up the exercise and this will pass. I have not seen the scale move this week..as it is approaching "that time of the month".... Just keep up the good work..and expect some down days. I am sure this plateau will be over soon.
Keep smiling!
Joanie
Protein protein protein! And like the other posters said, eat a bit more protein. Don't overstuff, listen to yoru body, but concentrate on eating a bit more protein, even if it means you don't get in your fruits or something else.
Don't worry, Janis, it'll come off. You'll step on the scale and voila! you'll be down a few pounds. And remember, because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean your not losing inches.
Make sure you let us know when that happens!!
As the other ladies said, protein! Also water. Plateaus are going to occur; believe me! I've been on one for a couple of months, and it's driving me a bit nuts. But I also need to kick up my protein (say goodbye to a few carbs too...)
This is hard work & it's a long journey. You're doing great.
Hang in --
Kathy
