Looking for Self-Defense Course

Hey everyone! As part of MY recovery, I am looking for a Self-Defense course to take. I am not looking to learn Judo, etc, but rather am looking for a 6-8 week course on basic Self Defense, possibly geared towards women. If anyone has a lead on something like that let me know. Thanks Towanda

I know Dr. Kim Daniels-Dr. Aranow's pyschologist is offering one in the Middletown area. It is out of pocket of course and that is all I have but you might want to contact her.

Hey, there, T! I noticed that Fitness Edge (Straford? Fairfield?) offers one, but I'm sure you have to be part of the gym to use it. Did you try a local YMCA?

I don't know where you are located, but Groton Town Recreation offers one.

If you are near the Wolcott area there is a place there. He teaches self defense for women only on Monday evenings but he is also willing to do one on one classes if you want. He takes it at your pace and can tailor his lessons to what you would like to know and around any problems you might have. Let me know if your interested. Heidi
