Hi Kathy! My two best buddies were... ? Wooden back scrather (as an extension of my arm for reaching things) because it is hooked it grabbed well to pull things closer on your bed table. ? My little pillow...for hugging my tummy when I had pain or needed to cough. (Some hospitals have them and give them to you!) ? Oh...and my cocoa butter stick for my lips. Happy Trails... Towanda

You got lots of advice, don't think I have anything of substance to add. I made sure I brought a comfort item (a stuffed bear my Dad had given me) and that cheered me up. Otherwise, the lotion, the cosmetic stuff that you might like to have to make you feel better. Bringing a pillow is a definite plus. I didn't, and the drive home with my sister, one of the worst drivers in the world, was uncomfortable to say the least. I know some hospitals provide you with a "bari-buddy" -- essentially a hard-stuffed teddy bear to hold on top of your stomach when you cough. You might get a teddy!! Can't wait until you have it & are done & telling us all about it. Have a great weekend! XO Kathy F
